1. Cancellation Guidelines

During unexpected or emergency situations, cancellation is inevitable. The following are guidelines in response to these events:

What is a cancellation?

In case of a cancellation, teachers must inform the Teacher Support at least 1 day prior to their schedule. This applies to missed schedules and tardiness as well. Teachers must always inform the Teacher Support through SKPYE or Teacher Support Request in the Teacher’s Dashboard.

NOTE: SKYPE is always the best method for immediate reports, troubleshooting reports, and inquiries.

There are 3 cases in case of a Cancellation Request:

A. If the notice was given more than 1 day before the schedule:

This is an ideal action and shows your responsibility as a teacher; this also reduces the possibility of getting penalties.

A.1 No valid reason – Advance notice Penalty ($0.3) – No document for any case / Regular class cancellation is ($1.0).
A.2 With valid reason  – No Penalty – General ISP, Power outages, Minor sickness and etc.(Required to submit the valid documents)

– Penalties apply per booked class or only $0.3 will be charged if there are no advanced bookings

B. If the notice was given the same day from the schedule:

B.1 No valid reason – With Notice Penalty ($1)
B.2 With valid reason  – Advance notice penalty will be applied($0.3) – Minor sickness and etc.(Required to submit the valid documents)

– Penalties apply per booked class or only $1(not valid)/$0.3(valid) will be charged if there are no advanced bookings

C. If the teacher does not report at all or if they reported late (during or after a class):

C.1 With Valid reason & With No Valid Reason – Full Penalty ($3)

C.2 The notice was given less than an hour prior to the lesson  – Full Penalty ($3)
Only Major Emergencies and ISP & Power outage (multiple areas) are qualified for a penalty exemption case.

NOTE: For Major Emergencies (natural disasters, death, accident, hospitalization), valid document submission should be within 14 days. You can get penalty exemption if your situation is under ‘Major Emergencies’.

– Penalties apply per booked class or only $3 will be charged if there are no advanced bookings

Consecutive cancellation case :

1. If the teacher cancels more than 2 times in month, double penalties will be automatically charged
2.If the teacher cancels more than 3 times in a month, triple penalties will be automatically charged
